How many times do you walk through life and ask yourself — Why Me? Let’s imagine an ordinary morning. Upon rising, you press the ON button on the coffee pot, that you prepared the night before, only to find water coming out. You realize that you forgot to add the coffee. You say, “Why God, Why Me?” So you go to the cupboard, grab the coffee and you hear a loud thump on the floor. Usually, you would be in the shower at this time and wouldn’t hear the loud noise. But you’re not, so you run to your son’s room and see him crying because he fell out of bed. Just like that, you were there for him. So that is your answer to the ‘Why’ you forgot to add the coffee. Yes, of course, this may be an easy answer, and not all questions find answers that quickly, but they will eventually. One of my favorite chapters in the bible is Isaiah 46. It is comforting to know that everything that happens in life happens for a reason.

“Indeed, I (God) have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it”. Isaiah 46: 11

Quite often, we see lives afflicted with financial hardship and pain, and others burning hundreds (well not literally), but you get the idea. Why is this? Because it is purposed. Those living in financial hardship may need a ‘wake-up’ call to understand budgeting better, so they can help someone later in life. Maybe death has hit your home, and a loved one has passed on.
