Day 4: Thanksgiving Challenge

We have been blessed from the very beginning with food to eat. And the Lord said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.” Genesis 1:29

Today, on Day 4 of this Thanksgiving Challenge, let’s be grateful for our food. Many of us are fortunate enough to eat bountiful every day, so we should be very thankful for our blessings. Our tables are spread with Roast Beef, potatoes, and broccoli, and then followed by apple pie. God provided us with a perfect balance of food, enough to feed all of us, yet so many go hungry.

Let’s take an extra step today, and not only be thankful for our food but help those that hunger. No one should go hungry, there is enough food, yet not enough charitable hands. There are so many organizations that provide food for the hungry, why not help make sandwiches, or help serve those in need. Maybe you can afford to make monthly donations to food pantries, or possibly offer assistance separating the food donations at your local pantry.
